Its been a busy few days. I did a extra shift because one of the clients was admitted to hospital. I saw two sides in the hospital. The nurses are rushed off their feet and really busy. But I was also concerned at them not wearing gloves at times. Also they needed to move my client up the bed. Whereas the earlier staff had carried out the correct procedure. The two night staff were saying to each other how are we going to do it. Then moved her using a inappropiate method. I was unable to leave the clients side. It would have been nice to have been offered a drink during the night. It was hard smelling toast etc and not being able to get myself food or drink.
